Directions to Catalina Island Inn from the Avalon Boat Terminal

Directions to Hotel from Boat Terminal
When you get off the boat you will be on Pebbly Beach Road. Go to the right toward town. Crescent Avenue is the harbor front pedestrian only street (it runs along the waterfront with shops and restaurants). Continue past the green "Pleasure Pier" in the center of downtown, approximately 4 blocks, to Metropole Avenue (past US Bank on the left and the Bluewater Avalon on the right), make a left on Metropole Avenue, go 1/3 block up and we are on the right hand side next to Von’s Supermarket. Across the street is the Santa Catalina Island Company offices.

Spectacular 15-Minute Helicopter Ride
If you're in a hurry to get here or the seas make you queasy, Island Express is the way to go. Those "26 Miles Across the Sea" go by in 15 minutes if you're in a helicopter. Unlike the boats you'll have to forego the snack bar and libations, but you'll get a spectacular trip and the adrenaline rush of flight to make up for it.
Heliports are located in San Pedro and Long Beach.

Out-of-State Airlines Arrivals
If you live out of state, you'll probably want to fly into one of the nearby Southern California coastal airports and then take a helicopter or boat to Catalina Island. Long Beach Airport is the most convenient to Catalina Island, or you can choose to arrive at John Wayne in Orange County or Los Angeles International Airport.

Airport Shuttle to the
Boat Terminals
There are a number of shuttle companies that will pick you up at the airport and bring you to a nearby port, where you may catch a boat or helicopter over to Catalina Island. We recommend Karmel Shuttle,

“Wonderful Hotel”
5 of 5 Stars

The hotel is completely renovated in a very tasteful and beautiful way. The quality of the remodel was amazing- lots of attention to detali. For a small hotel.....the bathroom was beautiful. The hotel was immaculate. It did not smell like a hotel....it smelled like a spa. The staff was helpful and friendly. Nice continental breakfast every morning. Great little spa located in the hotel as well. Had an excellent massage.....at a reasonable price for a resort. We were on the 4th floor with a view of the Bay. Our room also had a great balcony!! Highly recommended this Inn!!
