The hotel was just what we were looking for. We rented the 1st floor King room with patio and a fireplace. Let me tell you, the room is huge, clean, and really nice. The staff was friendly. Check in is 4pm, but they do allow you to store your luggage while you wait and even offer a call option if your room is ready early. This hotel is near everything. Literally :) food, activities, shopping, and just steps off the boardwalk.

Stayed at Catalina Island Inn twice now and honestly really enjoyed both stays. The place has a chill vibe, the rooms were comfortable, and the location made it easy to get around Avalon and enjoy the island. One of my favorite parts was the bunk beds setup — it actually made the stay more fun and perfect for traveling with friends or family. Everything felt relaxed and convenient, which is exactly what you want during a Catalina trip. Staff was friendly, check-in was smooth, and overall it’s a spot I’d definitely come back to again.

Located in a good spot, and after a long day and tired a room like this would relax away.

I’m making a late review but I came here back in August 2025 with my dad, was a good quiet place! Great service,the front desk lady was nice. It looked modern on the inside and the lobby was small but in a cozy way. One thing I hated and found weird was that when I was outside/backyard of my room there was a girl MOANING very very loudly it was nonstop for at least 20 minutes. So I had to leave and close the door, AND YET I was STILL able to hear it (like a tiny bit) overall a good place! Just be reminded that from what it was like for me in the morning it was calm,quiet, but towards the end of the day, you could hear quite a lot of stuff, as long as you close the door and play something on the tv you should be good and not hear anything! Lovely little room with an ocean view. It is an older hotel. No elevator. No bells and whistles. But clean, quiet, close to the main street, great view, friendly staff.
